     Forum Connemara
FORUM Connemara Ltd. is a rural development partnership of voluntary, community and a statutory body based in North West Connemara, with the objective of putting in place strategies and programmes to tackle the problem of rural decline and peripherality. FORUM was established by Connemara West in 1989 and its main aim is to promote, assist and engage in Social Development, Enterprise Development to facilitate rural regeneration and Community Development. FORUM works with older people, families, young people, community groups, businesses and under and unemployed.

     Clifden Writers Group
The Clifden Writers Group meet fortnightly and is open to anyone with an interest in writing. It encourages a mix of people from different backgrounds & countries, as well as seasonal contributors. The Group also contributes to community events such as Connemara Radio and holds a very popular annual reading at the Clifden Arts Festival.More information & membership details are available from the website www.clifdenwriters.com
